Double anniversary at Crystop GmbH<\/h1>\n

40 years of Crystop – 30 years of AutoSat – thinking of tomorrow yesterday<\/h3>\n

The company Crystop GmbH, which became known in the motorhome industry with its AutoSat product, was entered in the commercial register in 1980 under the name Crystop Display Gesellschaft f\u00fcr Anzeigesysteme mbH. The activity registered at that time was the development, production and distribution of display systems. These display systems are today’s indispensable LCDs, which at that time were still developed and produced in Germany, or rather Karlsruhe.<\/p>\n

Crystop has always been a specialist in customised electronics development. Image processing systems for quality inspection, electronic developments for automobile manufacturers and the pharmaceutical industry, time controls for irrigation systems or photo studios are among the many developments of Crystop GmbH.<\/p>\n

At the end of the 1980s, the company moved into the motorhome industry. Electronic monitoring systems were developed and produced for well-known manufacturers. In May 1991 the time had come, at the Clou Liner meeting of the company Niesmann + Bischoff in Saarbr\u00fccken, the first fully automatic satellite system was presented. From the very beginning, the name AutoSat stood for functionality and reliability. These first AutoSat systems are still in use today. At that time, the presentation took place on a beer table and caused quite a stir, as fully automatic satellite reception in motorhomes was still unthinkable at that time. In the same year, the presentation followed at the Caravan Salon, then still in Essen. Today’s managing directors Dipl.-Ing. Martin Nierlich and Ronny Sing sat proudly behind a small folding camping table on which the AutoSat was exhibited.<\/p>\n

Today, as in the past, Crystop attaches great importance to development, design and production in its “own country”, thus securing valuable jobs and being able to constantly shine with innovative further developments. The simple and inexpensive retrofitting of an AutoSat system from analogue to digital is a prime example of this.<\/p>\n

Another milestone in the company’s 35-year history is the development of a fast and cost-effective satellite broadcasting system for the promising KA band, which was funded by the Federal Ministry of Research and Development. This has opened up new markets in broadcasting and the BOS sector.<\/p>\n
